Over this five day course students will learn about the concept, legal procedures and implications involved in arrest and interview.
This course will look at the concept of arrest and Searching suspects, the consequences and responsibilities for police and how it links into individuals Human Rights. Delegates will engage in practical sessions to test each other against a number of issues and problems. Session will cover the theory of searching and evidence gathering, and introduction to Stop and Search and a look at post arrest responsibilities, the rights of the detainees and responsibilities of the police.
Aims and Objectives
Students will examine the concept of arrest and inspection, the consequences and responsibilities for police.
At the end of the course the student/participant will be able to:
- Learn the concept of: arrest, inspection procedures, legislation and laws regulating thereof.
- Apply legal procedures in arrest and inspection.
- Recognise the working practises of the judiciary system and how that links to police practises.
- Understand how to identify and avoid inspection pitfalls.
