The selection and appointment of the right people is essential to the success of every team and organisation; however, the process of which is costly both in terms of time and resources particularly if the wrong decision is reached. It is critical that the right candidate is appointed first time.

This course will provide individuals with guidance in the skills and techniques essential to conducting a successful selection process.

Aims and Objectives

This course will provide individuals with guidance in the skills and techniques essential to conducting a successful selection process.

At the end of the course the student/participant will be able to:

  • Understand the scientific methods in the preparation of standards and criteria of selection and appointment.
  • Analyse functions and use them in selection and appointment.
  • Understand the relationship between selection, recruitment and a human resources plan.
  • Be familiar with the policies and procedures for the selection process (Advertising, search…and the field interview)
  • Identify the kills and techniques necessary to measure trends selection for the appointment processes according to international standards.
  • Understand decision making factors and skills for hiring.
  • Understand modern global standards in in the selection and appointment policies and the basics of personnel management.
  • Understand appointment procedures and the welcoming of a new employee.
