DescriptionJonathan has been working within teaching and learning for many years at several institutions and providers. His academic studies began at Northumbria University, where he completed both a BSc Criminology and later MSc in Homeland Security. After successfully achieving a PGCE from Huddersfield he joined York College, where he became the Programme Lead for BA (Hons) Public Sector Management and BTEC Level 3 Uniformed Public Services. He is currently the Course Leader for the BSc Professional Policing and MSc Policing & Intelligence Analysis at Birmingham City University and prior to this was Course Leader for Criminology, Policing Investigation and Security Studies within the institution. He has been awarded Lecturer and Personal Tutor of the Year at institutions and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Aswell as his teaching and educational management experience, Jonathan has been responsible for the creation of several new PG and UG courses and worked closely with the College of Policing to successful implement the Police Education Qualification Framework. Further to this, he maintains involvement with several police forces, security services and the military around the country as a critical friend, researcher and is a member of the Ethics Panel for West Midlands Police.
