Nusrit has 30 years of policing experience in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) rising to Superintendent level. She has operated in a variety of exciting and challenging roles, both uniform and detective. She has a proven track record of operating in a highly complex and demanding policing environment. She has extensive experience of working in Counter Terrorism Protective Security, and SO15 -Counter Terrorism Command. She has led many high-profile terrorism cases which have resulted in successful prosecutions. Nusrit has represented the MPS both Nationally and Internationally delivering lectures on Counter Terrorism. She was a-guest of the FBI in Washington USA, delivering lectures on Radicalisation the British experience. Nusrit has recent front-line experience of operating in diverse and challenging Borough Command Unit across North London. She has experience of managing critical incidents Pan London. Her portfolio included heading the Professional Standards Department investigation both internal and external complaints. She delivered real outcomes by providing strong leadership and a fostering a cultural of creative change. She has specific senior leadership experience both at strategic and tactical level in Covert Policing and has attained many commendations for her work in this arena. Nusrit has worked in the Transformation Directorate leading and implementing complex change programme across the MPS. she led the creation of the new Road Traffic Policing Command, and was responsible for the restructuring of Specialist Operations (SO) at Scotland Yard introducing new policies and procedures throughout. Nusrit’s other roles have included training new recruits, professional development of colleagues across the MPS at all ranks. She is a trained mentor and assessor she has taken part in the Aspire programme. She played a-key part in am the Positive Action Practitioners Alliance by building networks with police forces nationally and sharing good practise.
