DescriptionVice President London Policing College Parm has over 30 years of experience in the London Metropolitan Police Service. As a Chief Superintendent she led in frontline policing, national counter terrorism teams, Fraud, Cyber investigations with a focus on leadership development and professional standards. Her passion is in the development of safeguarding and prevention processes and she has driven regional policing initiatives to address Domestic Abuse, Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriages. Parm has an operationally diverse and professionally sound career including both detective and uniform roles, working within London and for National organisations. She has managed Public inquiries and serious case reviews including historical corruption reviews to restore public confidence in Policing. She has had responsibility for territorial policing, the response to crime reporting and prevention. Parm has actively mentored and been involved in recruitment and retention from all parts of the community to improve the diversity of the Metropolitan Police Service. She has previously worked for Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabularies (HMIC) inspecting and making recommendations about the work of different forces in the UK to improve their delivery and the safety of the public. Parm has recently studied and been awarded a master’s degree in International Policing Studies this enabled her to study justice systems in the world. Parm has been involved in training and delivery to students from China and India who have been on Study tours to the UK as well as their home countries. Parm is now the Vice President of the London Policing College and is creating and building ethical relationships.
