DescriptionSimon Foy QPM LLB PGDip Senior Lecturer, Investigations, London Policing College Simon has a wealth of experience policing London for over 35 years in all aspects of investigation, frontline policing and leading major crime enquiries. His last role with the Metropolitan Police Service was as the Chief Officer lead for Homicide and Serious Sexual Assaults. He has taken that experience working on PIP (professionalising Investigations Programme) Level 4 development, on senior leadership programme involving Police Scotland and the FBI and working with the College of Policing to the next level and is now training others. A former senior police officer in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), London, a chief officer, ACPO (now NPCC) rank, for 9 years. Involved in a several high-profile operations and events and supporting the delivery of various national projects. Lead for Homicide and Serious Sexual Assaults with considerable experience in criminal investigation. Simon is now delivering strategic leadership training to senior police officers in the UK, as well as working with different levels across the justice sector nationally and internationally (China, USA and UAE.). He represented the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) - a major city police chief’s organisation based in Washington DC - in the design and delivery (between November 2014 and March 2015) of the ‘Leadership for Outcomes’ Course within Police Scotland – a cross public sector leadership development course designed around collaborative working. Simon is an external Associate with the College of Policing UK supporting the delivery of the professional skills element of the Strategic Command Course in 2014 and 2015, and delivering the course designed to equip senior leaders in the service to deal with the investigative element of high profile events and incidents (SCIMITAR). Simon delivers the Leading Complex Investigations course to senior staff in the Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
