Career Achievements, Expertise, Awards and Qualifications

Dan has over 30 years of policing experience in the Metropolitan Police Service reaching the rank of Inspector. He has experience in Response policing, TSG Public Order, Surveillance and Specialist Firearms SO19 .
Dan has taught and managed Armed Response Vehicle (ARV), Counter Terrorist Firearms Officer (CTSFO), and Rifle Courses also as Command Training Director in the MPS. He designed/planned National CT Exercises leading up to the 2012 Olympics, and was instrumental in designing the Firearms Response/Resilience Plan.
Dan managed security for high profile visits of President Obama and Pope Benedict. He led many high profile CT Ops across the UK.
As a qualified Post Incident Manager(PIM) he dealt with complicated police shootings. He received 9 commendations for bravery, leadership and professionalism and led joint training courses in Israel, Singapore, Cyprus, Austria and Germany. He designed the national CTSFO training programme, then as national specialist training lead was a major influence in providing Tier 1 police armed units with parity of skills UK wide.
A qualified Prince2 Project Manager Dan has diversified  in various part time roles, currently; Principal Account Rep for a US based Range Building Co. liaising with UK Police. He is consultant to a UK Range Design Co. advising on training infrastructure in the UK. He is working part time in the British Virgin Islands as a Strategic/Tactical Police Advisor, also running training via the FCO. He is contracted to a US Oil & Gas Co. as a Principal Account Rep/Project Manager and worked & advised in 2019/2020 on relevant specialist issues in the UK & Middle East(Saudi); managing a recruiting process & security consultancy.
Dan has worked part time in the past 2 years on a Govt Training Project preparing staff for overseas deployment.
