Career Achievements, Expertise, Awards and Qualifications

Tony has over 30 years’ Policing experience, serving as a Detective in the Metropolitan Police Service primarily working on Major, Serious and Complex Crime.
He has experience in Homicide, Criminal Justice & Protection Unit and Kidnap & Specialist Unit Investigations.
Tony was as an Advanced and Specialist Exhibits Officer.  His recognised expertise in Crime Scene Management, Forensic Awareness, Exhibit Handling & Retrieval, Court Preparation and Presentation Methods, led him to becoming a Trainer at the Metropolitan Police Crime Academy at Hendon in 2014.
He performed this role not only as a serving Police Officer but later as a member of Police Civilian Staff. He still provides assistance as a Consultant to the Exhibits Training Team.
Tony provided training to both Uniform and new Detective officers, Graduate Entry Detectives, Exhibit Officers and Specialist Exhibit Officers. This instruction was also provided to students from external agencies from within the UK and Overseas.
He has also worked as a Lecturer with the University of West London working with Graduates who are taking their degree in Forensic Science, Policing and Investigative Skills.
Tony has represented the Metropolitan Police in the Peoples Republic of China on a complex investigation involving Kidnap, False Imprisonment, Blackmail and Human Trafficking.
He has received over twenty commendations in recognition of his achievements in Police Investigations and Detective Training, as well as from Crown Court Judges for Court Presentation and Investigative Skills.
